The Cheetah Experience

What can I say about the Cheetah Girls... they where everywhere... I was surrounded by them... I thought I was trapped.... I called my son on the phone and begged for his help...

Save me Kobe... Please...

My daughter had a blast... she danced so much that her legs were cramping up later that night. I was not the only father in attendance and I did notice how all of us seemed numb as though we were caught in a hallway with a deadly animal about to strike us for the kill...


Disney is makin' money for sure... I want a piece of that action.

But I really enjoyed hanging out with my baby girl. She is so much like me. She is really intense on what she is doing at the time. I see so many ways in which we are alike. I love her so much. My son too. Now is one of those times that being a parent is just cool... I do not like it when I have to discipline them, but when I get to give them my love and affection it is the best...

I wish when I was a child I could have had this experience with my father when I was growing up, but instead he chose to run for cover. Not everyone is perfect.

Well my thoughts for today. Stay tuned for new photos and some behind the scene stuff that I am working on. Remember, keep your head up high and don't let anyone tell you that you are not a winner. The Bible tells you a different story :)

Thankful...

Being thankful for what you have is not always easy. Sometimes, we forget about where we have come from. I was thinking the other day of what the last 10 years of my life has been like. I think back to when I was in High School and only had 1 pair of pants to wear my freshmen year. Or, my junior year when we did not even have enough money for a Christmas tree.

So I am thankful for a lot of things. I have a great family, career, friends and health.

Just my thoughts for today, as I get ready for The Cheetah Girls...

Seeing my daughter light up when I come in the house and say "Cheetah....Girls...." is something that I am really thankful for.

The Cheetah Girls

Last night was my daughter's 6th birthday and we bought her 2 tickets to the Cheetah Girls concert. She was so excited. And, as a matter of fact, she asked me to take her to the show. I think this is what every father dreams of. I will do my best to enjoy the show. Because me and my son think that they are stupid!!!!!! I am just playing... I know that we will have alot of fun. She really likes them for some reason.

I will post my thoughts afterwards on what happened. Maybe even show some pictures if i can build up the strenght to show them on the site.

If only IE would work.....

Well I have partialy updated my site. Thanks to IE, not all my dynamic stuff works. So, I had to strip it down and just a few things. I will be adding more in the next week or so.

The studio is almost done.

I will also be offering a special on Valentine's Day pictures. Stay tuned as I will send out a mass email about all of the stuff you will get with your pictures.

The New Studio

Well, the new studio is almost done. The new studio will be located at 2005 Eye St., Studio #5, above Dagny's Coffee. I am really excited and should be in their by February 1st.

My good friend Monte Wilson will also be in their doing photography and video as well. We have been painting, cleaning, and getting ready for the new carpet. I will post some pictures in the next few days.

Here is a picture that I took the other day of a friend and his new wife. It was really cold outside.

A recent shoot...

I did a recent shoot with a young man... These are the raw images with no retouching except for one.

I used one small softbox to light him and the background. The softbox was placed just outside of the frame of the picture. I then placed a gold reflector on the shadow side to soften up the shadows so they would not look so dark.

Man...

I do not know how the east coast deals with all that snow. I live in Bakersfield, Ca and they are talking on the news that it is going to snow. Snow! man... it better not snow... I do not want any ice on me. Sorry, but i am from southern California, and as the song goes..."It never rains in Southern California!"

Don't Be Fooled...

Sometimes life can throw you a curve ball. But, if your patient, life will throw you a fast ball right over the plate so that you can knock it out of the park.

2007- What A Great Year!

This is going to be a great year. I have some really big plans for my future. This is the year that I will accomplish almost all of my goals that I set out.
