Family Photo Day...
I want to thank you for the opportunity that you gave me to photograph you and your family. For over the last two years, I have thought about how I could impact someone's life through photography during the Christmas Season. Over that time, I failed to put my best foot forward by not doing what was in my heart. I allowed excuse after excuse to stop me from making a difference. This year was different.
On December 12th, while driving around town running errands, I asked myself why do I procrastinate when it comes to doing what I know is in my heart? Yet, I still did not put anything into action. It wasn't until that evening when I ran into one of the staff writers for Mas Magazine who encouraged me to do what was in my heart. I knew then I was going to do something bigger than me. Before you know it, Mas Magazine is running a story about the Free Family 8x10 Photo. I also sent out email blasts, handed out flyers with my children to all my friends and posted events on Facebook.com. My friend Karla Leal from Telemundo did a story the night before on the six o’clock news. I started receiving phone calls and the excitement began to grow.
In my mind, I knew if only one family showed up, the event was a success. This event was put together in a week. We had a total of 21 families take advantage of this offer.
I am truly grateful for each and every one of you. I pray that each of you live your dreams and never let anyone or anything stop you from your goals. Remember, Jesus is the reason for the season. May God bless you all!!
